TLT Hits 20-Year Low as Treasury Supply and Inflation Fears Drive Bond Sell-Off
The iShares 20+ Year Treasury Bond ETF extended its slide on Monday, hitting a new 20-year low.
TLT, which holds long-term government bonds, fell to its lowest price in 20 years because people worry about inflation and there's a lot of new government debt being sold. When bond prices drop, it usually means people are less excited about bonds and more worried about money losing value.
